Computer Architects Are Drawn towards Manchester

The HiPEAC18 conference will be held in Manchester between 22 and 24 January. Manchester Central will be the host venue, located in the centre of the city.

The 3-day event is the premier European forum for experts in computer architecture, programming models, compilers and operating systems for embedded and general-purpose systems. Associated workshops, tutorials, special sessions, several large poster sessions and an industrial exhibition will run in parallel with the conference.

As the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution and the first programmable computer, Manchester is the ideal city for HiPEAC18. The city has a growing reputation for business attracting international events. For this reason, it is constantly looking for innovation, with advanced manufacturing, creative and digital and life sciences being its strongest sectors. Moreover, with over 18 universities and half a million students, as well as a faculty of leading researchers, it can be considered as one of the top European regions for higher education.
