A plethora of international thought leaders and innovators from the world of travel and beyond will speak at Tomorrow’s Urban Travel conference, kicking off on 12 October in Copenhagen. Among them is world-renowned author and Fortune500 advisor Joseph Pine. As the inventor of the term ‘experience economy’, Joseph Pine is credited with changing the way we think about consumers and marketing. He will talk about the experience economy from today into tomorrow, sharing new ideas on experience development in a new era of localhood as well as exploring the evolution towards transformational travel and the search for meaningful experiences of tomorrow.
Hosted by Copenhagen’s official DMO, Wonderful Copenhagen, the Tomorrow’s Urban Travel conference is an international event that looks at the future of tourism in major cities. Guided by its speakers, the conference will explore the trends, challenges, and opportunities that will define urban travel in the years to come.
Participants will also hear Destination Melbourne CEO Laura Cavallo talk about the relaunch of their ‘Discover Your Own Backyard’ campaign where locals become brand ambassadors for the city. Melbourne has just claimed the ‘most liveable city in the world’ title for the seventh year running.
