Mathematicians Are Invited to Tokyo in 2023

Tokyo will host the 10th International Congress on Industrial and Applied Mathematics (ICIAM 2023) according to the decision made at the Board Meeting of the International Council for Industrial and Applied Mathematics in Valencia in May 2017.

Having been founded in Paris in 1984, the Congress is held every four years attracting more than 3,000 participants related to mathematics from all around the world. The Congress will be held for the first time at Waseda University in August 2023.

Japan’s long-standing contribution to the mathematical society and ICIAM, financial and in-kind support from Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) and TCVB as well as “Team Japan” ‘s effort in preparing the proposal were all decisive factors in winning the bid.
