The Hague Celebrates the Beach

The Municipality of The Hague and The Hague Marketing Bureau launched the new campaign “Seaside Celebration”, commemorating the 200th anniversary of The Hague’s beach resort Scheveningen.

During the campaign a number of events have been set to take place throughout the year highlighting the significance the beach holds for the city and showcasing the opportunities for conference organizers and delegates.

After its establishment 200 years ago, nowadays it is the place for hotels, restaurants, and beach bars which draw the attention of many visitors every year. This stimulates the economy and promotes further development of the marine area offering the opportunity for associations to organise relevant events. The Grand Hotel Amrâth Kurhaus is an institution in Scheveningen with a long history of welcoming tourists and hosting such events.
