The 2018 IEEE 4th World Forum onThe Internet of Things (WF-IoT 2018) was held in the Garden City of Singapore between 5 and 8 February 2018. It brought the latest from the research and academic community, including a broad program of papers and presentations on the latest technology developments and innovations in the many fields and disciplines that drive the utility and vitality of IoT solutions and applications.

The theme of the Conference was “Smart Cities and Nations” in recognition of strides that host Singapore has made in the deployment of “smart” technologies, operating principles, and policies. The theme also underscores the importance of IoT technologies in making Smart Cities and Nations a reality.

During this 4-day event, hundreds of participants gathered to present research results, share visions and ideas, obtain updates on latest technologies and expand professional and social networking. Keynote speeches by distinguished speakers from industry, academia and the public sector, panels and forums, technical sessions featuring technical papers extensively reviewed by peers, workshops focusing on the latest trends in various technology, tutorials delivered by experts in respective disciplines, sessions for practitioners, policy makers, and executives, and exhibits were included in the program.
