International Conferences Make their Way to Liverpool

ACC Liverpool, home to BT Convention Centre, Echo Arena and Exhibition Centre Liverpool, this year celebrates a decade since it opened its doors. The venue has hosted more than 1,050 conferences and many international events since 2008 including BBC Worldwide Showcase, which returned for the seventh time in February; the European Association for International Education; Eurospine and the Union World Conference on Lung Health.

Following this success rate, over the next two years the destination has secured various international conferences including the International Orthoptic Association which will take place at the waterfront venue in June 2020, welcoming 1,000 delegates over four days and the Annual Meeting of the European Society for Paediatric Endocrinology (ESPE) which will take place in the same year, attracting 3,500 delegates over three days.

Professor Mehul Dattani, head of paediatric endocrinology at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, University College London Hospitals and the Institute of Child Health, is ambassador for the European Society for Paediatric Endocrinology. He said: “As an ambassador for this event, we are confident that visitors will be impressed with the venue and will appreciate exploring such a vibrant, interesting city, as well as engaging in social events during the three days of the meeting. We are looking forward to hosting our 59th ESPE meeting in Liverpool from September 10 – 12 2020.”
