Associations to Connect at The Meetings Show’s Virtual Event

Association meetings executives will be able to find out about the latest offerings from destinations around the globe, check out the world’s best meetings and events venues, make memorable connections and be inspired at The Meetings Show next month.

The UK’s leading platform for the world’s meetings and events community, which has been rescheduled to 19-21 October due to the ongoing impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, will run as a virtual show for the first time.

As with previous shows, pre-qualified buyers will be able to hold valuable meetings with exhibitors, attend inspirational education sessions and network with their peers, but this time through a leading virtual event platform.

Exhibitors from around the world – including hotels, venues, destinations and technology suppliers – will all be present to talk through how their facilities and services can assist association meetings executives and congress organisers.

Destinations and venues confirmed as exhibitors include Visit Britain, London & Partners, Liverpool City Council, Newcastle Gateshead Initiative, Hong Kong Tourism Board, Penang Convention Bureau, Las Vegas, NYC & Co, Istanbul CVB and Conventions Malta as well as Wyboston Lakes, Newbury Racecourse, Arora Group, Marriott Hotel Group and MacDonald Hotels.

The industry’s growing reliance on event technology also coincides with a growth in the number of technology suppliers at the show.

Shocklogic, Interprefy, Cvent and CrowdComms are just a handful of those who will be demonstrating how their innovative solutions can aid events.

Pre-qualified buyers will be able to book and manage one-to-one meetings with exhibitors and appointments through a digital system once registered and receive notifications ahead of each meeting, so nothing is missed.

Those looking for insight, inspiration and information, will find it through the show’s comprehensive education programme, with sessions offered live and on demand. The programme has been created with the aim of helping event professionals navigate these challenging times, wherever they are.

With a stellar line up of speakers, including the Fyre Festival’s Andy King on 21 October and a dynamic range of session formats being delivered across the three days, the show will provide insight on future trends, effective use of technology, measuring ROI as well as future event design and formats, creative thinking and sustainability. There will also be sessions focusing on career development, to help professionals improve their outlook for the future.
