ESAE Workshop Presents the New Code

The European Society of Association Executives (ESAE) new workshop deals with the companies and associations Code, referred to as the ‘New Code’. This New Code enters into force on May 1st, 2019 and applies to new non-profit organisations, i.e. those incorporated on and after May 1st, 2019. However, as from January 1st, 2020, the New Code will apply to all non-profit organisations and these definitively need to get ready.

Titled ‘Companies and Associations Code – What does it mean for Association Executives?’, the workshop will take place on 21 May between 09.00 and 10.30 featuring Antoine Druetz and Alix Degrez as speakers. The first aim of the presentation will be to explain the major changes brought by the New Code (e.g. performance of commercial activities, new liability regime for officers, new governance rules, restructuration and transformation procedures, etc.) which will impact your non-profit organisation. The second aim of the presentation will we be to explain what non-profit organisations are legally required to do due to the entry into force of the New Code and how to better benefit from it.
