‘French Tech’ Label for the French Riviera

‘French Tech Metropolis’ is the label given to the region of Côte d’Azur in June 2015, which includes Nice, Sophia Antipolis, Cannes, Grasse and the rest of the Côte d’Azur department. The label is meant to promote the area’s digital industry to grow further, accelerating the growth of tech champions in Côte d’Azur and attracting further digital talents into the region.

‘La French Tech ‘ – as it is called – boasts highly educated entrepreneurs and refers to all the people working for or with French startups, in France or abroad. Investors, engineers, designers, developers, associations, bloggers, media, big companies, government agencies and, of course, entrepreneurs have all joined forces for the growth and international promotion of startups.

Launched by the French government, the label is given to to a small number of vibrant local ecosystems where startups, investors, and foreign talents can easily find the necessary ingredients to accelerate their development and become international ‘tech champions’ attracting foreign startups as well as skilled digital professionals.
