Midwives of the World Unite in Bali

The 32nd International Confederation of Midwives (ICM) Triennial Congress and Associated Meetings will be held from 21-25 June 2020 at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC). In November 2013 the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center  supported the Indonesia Midwives Association (IMA) in bidding for the holding of the 32nd Congress. In May 2015, BNDCC was officially appointed as the official venue for the event.

The congress will be focusing on the theme of ‘Midwives of the world: delivering the future’ and is expected to attract over 4,000 delegates of midwives, partners, stakeholders in midwifery, and civil society organizations. There are currently 132 Midwives Associations, representing 113 countries across every continent. The Congress is a leading forum for midwifery with the aim of achieving progress in the care of pregnant women, mothers, newborns and their families.

Yasinta Hartawan, General Manager BNDCC, said: “We are thrilled to have been selected as the official venue for the prestigious event and we are grateful to IMA that chose BNDCC for their bid to host this important conference. We look forward to welcoming all delegates from around the world.”

BNDCC will host other reputable events in the coming years including The 5th World Cocoa Conference 2020, the 29th Annual Conference Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver 2020 and the Food Hotel Tourism Expo 2020.
