At the eighth edition of the European Association Summit (EAS), taking place on 10-11 March 2020 at the Square – Brussels Convention Centre, international associations are keen to exchange their experiences and plans for change with their peers. This year’s edition shows how it has evolved, not only with its new visual identity, but also by proposing several workshops on change within organisations.
Several of this year’s speakers will discuss change and evolution in its various forms. These include a debate among association leaders on preparing for the technological challenges of the future, the impact of brand change on associations and their conferences, women’s leadership, funding methods, and many more.
One of the new features this year is the highlighting of companies responsible for association management. The practice of association management is well established in the United States and is a rapidly growing feature of the industry in Europe. For this reason, EAS organisers want to shed more light on it, and establish methods of cooperation to make better use of the know-how of these companies that help associations needing their services.
The summit is organised in close collaboration with major partners in the sector: ESAE (European Society of Association Executives), FAIB (Federation of European & International Associations Based in Belgium), UIA (Union of International Associations) and GAHP (Global Association Hubs Partnership), along with Solvay Brussels School – Economics & Management, AMCI (Association Management Companies Institute) and ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association).
Online registration is now open.
