A True Masterclass in Long-Lasting Impact

6th February 2025

From 26-28 January, Dublin hosted the latest ICCA Association Impact Masterclass (AIM), bringing together 14 senior association executives and 13 destination partners from 18 countries.

Organised by ICCA in partnership with BestCities Global Alliance, the event focused on impact measurement, strategic planning, and legacy creation.

Led by Geneviève Leclerc of #MEET4IMPACT and Gary Grimmer of GainingEdge, the sessions encouraged collaboration and hands-on learning.

“AIM is a key element in ICCA’s stellar lineup of educational offerings,” said ICCA CEO Senthil Gopinath. “We’re thrilled to be in Dublin with such dedicated events professionals.”

Participants also experienced Dublin’s culture through a walking food tour and a sustainability-focused event at Radisson Blu Hotel Dublin, which eliminated plastic waste and prioritised local sourcing.

“This edition of AIM brought together senior association executives with a strong vision,” said Geneviève Leclerc. “We challenged them to refine their purpose and drive meaningful change through strategic partnerships.”

The Masterclass, launched in April 2024 in Sarawak, aligns with the ICCASkills certification programme, equipping association professionals to design, execute, and evaluate impactful events.

“The association world is eager to deliver change and power up,” noted Gary Grimmer.
