BestCities Global Alliance and the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) have announced the finalists for the 2024 Incredible Impacts Programme: the International Hip Preservation Society (ISHA), the European Academy of Childhood Disability (EACD), and the World Association of News Publishers (WAN-IFRA).
The Incredible Impacts Programme acknowledges the vital role of international association meetings in driving innovation and change.
Finalists illustrate impactful initiatives that inspire others to incorporate legacy projects into their own events, furthering global progress.
This year’s finalists share a common objective of promoting equity across various sectors. The ISHA is recognised for its efforts in improving access to hip preservation treatments in Africa, bridging the gap for underprivileged communities.
EACD’s EACD+ programme has expanded opportunities for those with childhood-onset disabilities, advocating for inclusive policies across Europe.
WAN-IFRA’s Copenhagen Criteria project is dedicated to enhancing news engagement among younger audiences and other marginalised groups.
These organisations will compete for a $20,000 USD grant at the ICCA Congress in Abu Dhabi, with the winner determined by a combination of jury and audience votes.
