Flanders will host the inaugural Impact Day on October 14, 2024, at the eco-certified Saint Magdalene’s Church in Bruges.
Organised by the VISITFLANDERS Convention Bureau, #MEET4IMPACT, and the GDS-Movement, this event will bring together over 120 leaders from the global conference and events sector to discuss new business models centred on social impact and sustainability.
The event will feature keynote speakers, including Piet Colruyt, Professor Jan Beyne, and Geneviève Leclerc, addressing topics like securing funding for impactful initiatives and sustainable practices.
Attendees will also hear case studies from organisations such as The European Academy of Childhood-onset Disability (EACD), The European Federation of Food Science and Technology (EFFoST), and The World Breaking Championship and participate in breakout sessions on partnerships, funding, and best practices for driving social and environmental change.
With its focus on measuring and enhancing event impact, Impact Day will set a new standard for creating lasting benefits for host communities and the environment.
