Grimaldi Forum Backs Renewed ISO Status with Measurable Results

5th November 2026

Grimaldi Forum Monaco has renewed its ISO 14001 environmental management and ISO 20121 sustainable events certifications, reinforcing a sustainability programme that now spans venue operations, event delivery and community impact.

The Bureau Veritas audits, conducted from 1 to 4 September 2026, recorded no non-conformities and identified eight organisational strengths. The ISO 20121 certification was renewed under the standard’s updated 2024 version.

The venue reported several measurable results for 2025:

  • greenhouse gas emissions fell by 8.79% year on year;
  • 85.4% of waste was recovered;
  • 85.55% of purchases included at least one CSR criterion;
  • energy efficiency had improved by more than 32% since 2008.

The building operates with a seawater heating and cooling system, 2,500 m² of photovoltaic panels and electricity sourced entirely from renewable energy.

Its responsible-event services include consumption monitoring, reusable exhibition infrastructure, banner recycling, local and seasonal catering, and the redistribution of materials after events.

The Forum also reported an estimated €80 million in indirect economic impact during 2025, supporting 3,650 direct and indirect jobs. Nearly 26 tonnes of food, equipment and other goods were redistributed, while employees completed 23 volunteer missions with local charities.

“The renewal of our two certifications recognises the daily commitment of our teams and our determination to work alongside our clients and partners,” said General Manager Sylvie Biancheri.

The results are detailed in the venue’s first CSR Report, which covers its 2025 performance and sets objectives for further progress in 2026.
