Tokyo has secured the winning bid to host the One Young World Summit in 2027, bringing the influential global forum to Japan for the first time.
The event will take place from 28 September to 1 October 2027 at the Tokyo International Forum, drawing more than 2,000 young leaders from over 190 countries.
Delegates will collaborate with internationally renowned figures to debate, design, and share solutions to some of the most pressing global challenges.
Kate Robertson, Co-Founder of One Young World, praised Tokyo as “a beacon of global leadership, innovation, and cultural depth”, adding that the summit would be “a powerful opportunity to connect the next generation of leaders with the companies and institutions ready to back their vision”.
The 2027 edition is expected to be among the most internationally diverse gatherings Japan has hosted in recent years. Backed by the Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau’s Business Events team, the summit will offer a platform for cross-sector dialogue and actionable commitments, aligning with Tokyo’s reputation for excellence in hosting world-class events.
