IBTM Ignite, the investment-focused programme connecting emerging events-industry businesses with active investors, will return to IBTM World from 17-19 November 2026 at Fira Gran Via in Barcelona.
Delivered in partnership with growth consultancy allpoints, the programme will showcase at least 30 qualified start-ups working across event tech, AI, sustainability, accessibility, and finance – building on a debut edition that drew more than 80 applications. More than 15 investors are expected to attend, with selected founders able to secure up to £3.5 million in potential investment across the programme.
The 2026 edition also introduces a new Investors’ Choice Award, judged live across the three days with a winner announced on day three. Founders will receive investment-readiness training before pitching on IBTM World’s Future Stage, with follow-up conversations continuing in a dedicated Ignite Lounge and structured investor meetings within three to four weeks of the show.
“It has never been harder to launch and scale a business within the events industry,” said Max Fellows, Founder and CEO of allpoints, “but through Ignite, we are creating a unique opportunity for start-ups and scale-ups to not only get incubated and developed, but receive expert feedback, build relationships with active investors… and access investment of between £50-£250k.”
