The 75th International Astronautical Congress (IAC), held from 14 to 18 October at the MiCo Convention Centre, drew over 11,200 delegates from 120 countries, setting new records for attendance and showcasing cutting-edge advancements in space exploration.
Organised by the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) and hosted by AIDAA, ASI, and Leonardo, the Congress solidified Milan’s role as a global hub for aerospace innovation.
Key highlights included the unveiling of NASA’s Artemis III lunar suits, designed by Prada and Axiom Space, and the historic IAF Global Space Leaders’ Summit, which convened 60 space agency heads to address international space policy.
Over 500 exhibitors from 46 countries participated, while more than 4,000 speakers presented in 200 sessions, fostering knowledge exchange on topics ranging from propulsion systems to sustainable exploration.
Cultural highlights featured a space-inspired fashion show and a public day, which attracted 3,500 visitors, including students.
