Antwerp Empowers Local Leaders with Ambassador Programme

9th December 2024

The Antwerp Convention Bureau (ACB) unveiled its upcoming Ambassador Programme at an exclusive preview event, with the full launch set for 2025.

Held at the historic AMUZ concert hall, the evening celebrated an impressive roster of initial ambassadors, city officials, and stakeholders.

Since its establishment in late 2023, ACB has secured high-profile conferences in Antwerp’s key sectors – port and logistics, medical innovation, and the chemical industry. Building on this momentum, the Ambassador Programme aims to leverage local expertise and global networks to position Antwerp as a premier international congress destination.

Antwerp’s Vice Mayor, Koen Kennis, said: “This programme reflects our commitment to shaping global conversations, not just hosting events.”

The evening featured speeches, a panel discussion with ambassadors, and networking opportunities.

ACB’s CEO, Tadeja Pivc Coudyser, commented: “The remarkable accomplishments of Antwerp’s conference and event sector have laid the groundwork for this initiative. We owe our success to the passion and dedication of industry leaders, many of whom are now stepping forward as ambassadors. Their vision and commitment are helping us shape Antwerp’s future as a global player.”

The programme will unite professionals from diverse industries to promote Antwerp as a vibrant hub for association events while boosting economic and intellectual development.
