The European Society of Association Executives (ESAE) held its very first ESAE Association Awards on 15 June 2023 in Brussels.
The awards were established with the goal to recognise exceptional achievements by Association teams in four different categories.
The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Award went to the World Association of Chefs Societies, for their ‘Like a Chef’ initiative; the Digital Communication Award
(with our very own Cécile Koch as jury) was won by the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA) for the growth of their LinkedIn page; the Event Transformation Award went to FoodDrinkEurope for their innovative event #FoodFuture Ideas Fest; and the Impact Award was given to the European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL) for their project ‘Love your liver.’
Mohamed Mezghani, the ESAE Board Member who initiated and led the Awards, said: “I am proud and happy having chaired the first-ever ESAE association awards. They recognize the achievements of association professionals by their peers, independently from any industrial or commercial interest. This inaugural edition rewarded projects and initiatives of high quality which will certainly inspire trade associations as well as professional societies. It’s this spirit of innovation and sharing that drives ESAE and its members.”
