Glasgow will be buzzing from 2 to 7 July 2023 with the 19th World Congress of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology (WCP2023).
Held at Scottish Events Campus (SEC), the event will gather academics, pharma-industry professionals and early-career researchers to present and discuss research and learnings, share knowledge and ideas, and network.
The city was a natural fit for the event which is organised every four years hosted by a different pharmacological society.
Glasgow has strong connections to pharmacology, leaders in the field and three universities that have strong life sciences departments.
Glasgow Convention Bureau Head of Tourism & Conventions, Aileen Crawford, said: “Glasgow’s ability to attract prestigious global conferences reflects our commitment to supporting our clients in their successful delivery, and giving delegates a memorable experience as guests in our city. The fact that we have over £214m of confirmed conference business in the diary up to 2027 is testament to Team Glasgow’s dedication to ensuring Glasgow remains a world-class host city for all types of Business Events.”
To support the event, the British Pharmacological Society will host three outreach events which will be open to the public: a Science Safari, Talking Psychedelics at Waterstones bookstore and Pharma-comedy: A dose of laughter with a side of science.
