Australia’s Association Sector Heads to Geelong

9th July 2026

Australia’s association and charity leaders will gather at the newly opened Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre on 28–29 July 2026 for the Associations Forum National Conference.

Hosted by Associations Forum, the annual conference brings together CEOs, presidents, senior executives and decision-makers from associations and charities across Australia to examine the future of the sector. The programme will address governance, leadership, membership growth, sustainability, innovation and changing expectations from members and communities.

Fatima Sunderji, General Manager of Associations Forum, said the conference plays an important role in fostering collaboration. “The National Conference brings together the people driving this sector forward, creating an opportunity to share knowledge, address emerging challenges and build stronger connections across the association community,” she said.

As one of the first major conferences to be hosted at Nyaal Banyul, the event will also showcase Geelong’s new waterfront venue as a national business events destination. Delegates will be able to connect with suppliers and service providers through the exhibition and dedicated networking sessions.

With more than 600,000 organisations contributing around AUD$43 billion to the Australian economy, Australia’s association and charity sector remains a significant social and economic force.
