Barcelona officially opens its 2025 medical meetings calendar with the 35th Conference of the European Wound Management Association (EWMA), taking place from 26 to 28 March at the Barcelona International Convention Centre (CCIB), operated by Fira de Barcelona.
The congress, which rotates annually across major European cities, brings together over 6,000 healthcare professionals from 90 countries.
Over 250 sessions will address clinical challenges such as leg oedema, hidradenitis suppurativa, palliative wound care, and pressure ulcers.
A 10,000 m² exhibition area will host 143 companies presenting advanced products and technologies.
Organised in collaboration with the Spanish Advisory Group for the Study of Pressure Ulcers and Chronic Wounds (GNEAUPP) and the Spanish Wounds Society (SEHER), this year’s theme is “Moving towards excellence in wound management by breaking frontiers and silos.”
The EWMA meeting marks the first major medical event at the CCIB this year. In 2025, the venue will welcome nearly 100 events, including 15 significant healthcare congresses such as ESMO GI, CIRSE, ECTRIMS, and the World Stroke Congress.
