PCMA and the Strategic Alliance of the National Convention Bureaux of Europe (SANCBE) have unveiled details of the second edition of Convene 4 Climate (C4C), taking place on 16–17 October 2025 in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
Following its launch in Barcelona last year, C4C has evolved into a global platform dedicated to advancing climate action across the business events sector and beyond.
Foundational partners include Destination Canada, Fáilte Ireland, Marina Bay Sands and United Airlines, joined by supporting partner Maritz.
“Business events possess a critical platform to accelerate solutions,” noted Sherrif Karamat, CAE, PCMA and CEMA President & CEO. “C4C, created to harness this influence, ensures that meetings and events are not only sustainable in practice but also catalytic in driving systemic climate action.”
The 2025 programme will feature high-level dialogues with United Nations leaders, a case study from Bosch on embedding sustainability into operations, and insights from the Jimmy Choo Design Academy on the role of creativity in shaping regenerative futures.
According to Eric Bakermans and Matthias Schultze, SANCBE Co-Chairs, “Cross-sector and cross-country collaboration are essential for tackling global challenges. C4C offers an outstanding platform that brings together all stakeholders from the business events ecosystem and related sectors, fostering learning, idea generation, and growth.”
