From 11 to 13 June 2024, Zurich hosted the UFI European Conference at Messe Zurich, drawing a record 350 participants from the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, solidifying Zurich’s standing as a key trade fair destination.
Trade fair experts gathered in Oerlikon to discuss crucial topics such as consolidation, sustainability, customer expectations, and artificial intelligence.
Nick Dugdale-Moore, UFI Regional Director Europe, says: “I trust that the participants appreciated the content format, which also included voices from outside the industry, and that they took away some valuable lessons and insights.”
The conference included forums on human resources and operation services and the second Event Directors Summit for 50 exhibition directors. The UFI Sports Club offered jogging tours and footvolley with the Swiss national team. Participants also toured local sights and a renowned chocolate manufacturer.
Roman Imgrüth, CEO of MCH Exhibitions & Events, said: “I would particularly like to highlight the Event Directors Summit – as a leading host in Switzerland, the attendees of this summit are naturally of great interest to us.”
The conference coincided with Art Basel, highlighting MCH Group’s second location and paving the way for future UFI member events.
