London Conference to Tackle Association Governance Issues

21st June 2024

On Friday 12 July 2024, the QEII Conference Centre in London will host a conference addressing governance and structural challenges in associations.

Leading figures from national and global bodies will share their experiences of organisational change.

Speakers from UK associations include the Association of Anaesthetists, ADS Group, AutomateUK, and BCS – The Chartered Institute for IT.

International participants include World Physiotherapy, the International Federation for the Teaching of English, WSAVA, AusIMM, and the Institute of Food Technologists.

John Peacock from Governology, the consulting firm organising the event, said: “Because professional and trade bodies have unique rules, they are often out-of-date with contemporary governance structures. Where and how an entity is incorporated, how many are on the Board and how it is elected or chosen and trained are critical issues for open discussion.”

Chartered institutes, learned societies, and Royal colleges, are invited to join fellow senior leaders, Chairs, Trustees and CEOs to benefit from first-hand case studies.
