Equality in the Spotlight with Women Deliver Conference in Melbourne

23rd January 2025

Melbourne has secured the bid to host Women Deliver 2026, a global conference on gender equality, marking the first time it will be held in the Oceania Pacific region.

The successful bid, led by the Melbourne Convention Bureau (MCB), was in partnership with the Victorian State Government, the Federal Government, and Tourism Australia.

Scheduled from 27 to 30 April 2026 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, the conference will welcome over 6,500 delegates from 170 countries, providing a vital platform for advancing gender equality and the health and rights of women and girls.

Women Deliver 2026 will build on Melbourne’s successful hosting of a regional convening in 2023, further amplifying the voices of the Oceania Pacific region in the global dialogue on gender equity. It will also create opportunities for collaboration across governments, businesses, and community organisations.

As one of the world’s most influential gatherings focused on women’s rights and reproductive health, Women Deliver aims to promote bodily autonomy and empower marginalised communities.

The 2026 edition will feature hundreds of sessions, exhibitions, and activities tackling issues such as reproductive health, economic empowerment, and social justice.
