On 17 December 2025, association professionals are invited to a focused online session designed to address one of the sector’s rising strategic concerns: cybersecurity.
Co-organised by ESAE and The Hague & Partners, the webinar offers practical insight into how associations can better safeguard their operations in an era of growing digital threats.
Titled “Don’t Let Hackers Through the Chimney”, the one-hour training will explore how routine online behaviours can expose organisations to sophisticated cyberattacks. With associations increasingly reliant on digital tools, and often managing sensitive member data, the risks extend far beyond technical disruptions, they touch on trust, governance, and continuity.
The training goes beyond standard awareness campaigns by examining current threats such as AI-generated phishing, deepfakes and social engineering, tools increasingly used to target association staff. Real-world examples will be used to demonstrate how attackers exploit everyday actions, from clicking on suspicious links to using unsecured networks while travelling.
Participants will come away with a clearer understanding of how cybersecurity, like sustainability or governance, must be embedded into an association’s long-term strategy.
