The Bruges Meeting & Convention Centre has recently been awarded the Green Key label, the international sustainability label for event locations.
Received in May 2023, the Green Key recognises the venue’s efforts in the field of sustainable and responsible business practices.
The BMCC is a nearly energy-neutral building (nZEB). It partners with caterers who commit to responsible consumption and production patterns, and has installed two hives on the roof.
Heat pumps and 642 solar panels provide green energy to the BMCC and offers a detailed waste separation system. Moreover, the green roof buffers rain water which is given to the trees on the square.
Located in the heart of Bruges, BMCC is easily accessible on foot, by bicycle, by public transport and by car and is also fully accessible for persons with disabilities.
