A new project to attract associations to set up shop in the country by 2024 and beyond has been announced by the Promtur Panama.
As home already to 22 international associations, Panama is following an associative hub model to attract some of the 542 academic, medical and scientific associations present in Latin America and elsewhere.
The Panama Association Hub (PAH) aims at supporting the establishment of association offices in the country, helping with licensing, registration and visas and offering commercial advice to boost their business.
Supported by the Ministry of the Presidency, PROPANAMA, the City of Knowledge (Ciudad del Saber) and the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), the project will contribute to promoting and establishing Panama as a global destination for association events.
The Latin American Diabetes Association will be the first one to participate in kickstarting the structuring process of the project with a Pilot plan.
