WindEurope to Return to Copenhagen in 2025 for Seventh Annual Conference

9th October 2023

WindEurope has confirmed that it will host its annual conference in Copenhagen again in 2025 at Bella Center.

The decision comes after a highly successful event this year, which saw nearly 16,000 participants from the global wind industry.

Copenhagen will welcome over 15,000 participants from around the world for the 2025 conference, marking the seventh time in 20 years that the city has been chosen as the host.

Denmark’s pioneering role in wind energy and its record-breaking wind power generation, providing over 55% of its electricity, make it a fitting location.

Oliver Wykes, Chief Operating Officer at WindEurope, said, “We’re thrilled to collaborate with Copenhagen once more for WindEurope’s Annual Event 2025. Denmark’s leadership in wind energy aligns perfectly with our mission. We set attendance records in 2023, and we expect to continue this trend in 2025.”

Gemma Strutt, Director of Congress & Large Events at Bella Center Copenhagen, highlighted their innovative partnership with WindEurope: “Our collaboration with WindEurope has not only delivered successful events but also fostered innovation in sustainability. We look forward to continuing this partnership in 2025.”

Copenhagen and Denmark’s commitment to wind energy and sustainability, with eco-certified venues and extensive bike infrastructure, solidify their status as leaders in the field.

WindEurope’s decision to return to Copenhagen in 2025 underlines the city’s significance in advancing sustainable wind energy solutions on a global scale.
