An initiative by the International Trade Administration (TITA) under Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs and implemented by TAITRA, MEET TAIWAN has become the country’s global calling card for the MICE industry. The rebrand, revealed under the theme “Beyond 20, Embracing Tomorrow”, signals a strategic shift, positioning Taiwan as a leader in sustainable meetings, technology integration, and international cooperation.
A Brand for a Future-Ready Industry
The new MEET TAIWAN logo encapsulates the values driving this evolution. Blue represents innovation and technology, while green stands for sustainability and balance – together, they mirror the island’s dual commitment to progress and harmony. This reimagined identity mirrors the way Taiwan sees its role in the world: open, dynamic, and aligned with global goals.

Simon Wang, President & CEO, TAITRA, adds: “This evolution also reflects our ambition to build on two decades of achievement while embracing innovation, creativity, and global collaboration.”
At AMF 2025, this message resonated throughout every session and initiative. The event’s three pillars – Igniting MICE Innovation, Empowering the Future, and Value Beyond Venues – each underscored Taiwan’s readiness to lead. From digital transformation to social impact, the conversations went beyond logistics to explore how events can serve as catalysts for knowledge exchange and sustainability.
From Green MICE to Global Impact
Sustainability has been a central pillar of Taiwan’s MICE strategy for more than a decade, but the latest initiatives push boundaries even further. The Asian MICE Forum 2025 achieved a 67% reduction in carbon emissions compared with previous editions, thanks to low-impact design, renewable energy use, and waste minimisation. Twenty pieces of discarded material from past events were transformed into creative installations, showcasing how circular economy principles can inspire both organisers and attendees.
Taiwan’s Green MICE Guidelines, first introduced by MEET TAIWAN in 2013, have matured into one of the most comprehensive frameworks in Asia for sustainable event management. They encourage organisers to prioritise local sourcing, digital tools over print, and energy-efficient venues. Many of the country’s convention centres, including Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center and Kaohsiung Exhibition Center, are now eco-certified, setting new regional standards.
As the global meetings industry moves toward purpose-driven events, Taiwan’s commitment to measurable impact offers a compelling model. The country’s sustainability initiatives are all about demonstrating leadership through action – something that can resonate deeply with international associations.
Innovation in Action
In keeping with the AMF’s focus on Igniting MICE Innovation, this year’s programme featured forward-thinking voices from around the world. Among them was Gitanjali Rao, the young scientist and TIME Kid of the Year, who spoke about innovation as a tool for solving global problems. “Innovation is not an option, it’s a necessity,” she was quoted to say, capturing the event’s spirit of human-centred progress. Her words echoed Taiwan’s own approach: combining high-tech capability with a people-first mindset.

Indeed, Taiwan’s MICE sector sits at the intersection of creativity and digital innovation. Smart initiative continues to enhance data integration, hybrid-event capabilities, and real-time sustainability tracking – helping organisers design smarter, more inclusive events.
In cities like Taipei, Taichung, and Kaohsiung, this digital transformation is visible in venues that combine advanced technology with seamless accessibility.
Value Beyond Venues
Taiwan’s strength as a MICE destination has always been its blend of infrastructure, knowledge, and warmth. But under the new MEET TAIWAN direction, the focus extends beyond the venues themselves. Specifically, the brand’s promise – Value Beyond Venues – reflects how Taiwan’s meetings are increasingly linked to its innovation ecosystem, academic expertise, and thriving industrial clusters.
For international associations, this means that hosting an event in Taiwan is not only about logistics; it’s about legacy. The island’s strong research institutions, dynamic start-up culture, and cross-sector partnerships create fertile ground for knowledge exchange. Whether it’s advanced electronics industry in Hsinchu, smart manufacturing in Kaohsiung, or digital innovation in Taipei, Taiwan connects meetings to meaning.
As Taiwan steps into this new phase, its global message is clear: the country is ready to collaborate. The refreshed MEET TAIWAN identity positions the destination as a trusted partner in shaping the next generation of business events. Through its transparent governance, reliable infrastructure, and commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, Taiwan is strengthening its international reputation as both a safe and forward-looking host.
Taiwan’s strategic partnerships with global MICE leaders and associations ensure that the country remains part of the international dialogue. By reaffirming its engagement with ICCA and IAEE, Taiwan continues to build bridges across borders.
