ACC Liverpool hosted its third Event Legacy Workshop, uniting organisers of major upcoming events such as the International Association of Oral Oncology (IAOO), British Neuroscience Association (BNA), ELRIG, and British Orthopaedic Association (BOA) with Liverpool’s Legacy Champions – a network of local experts from diverse sectors.
The workshop encouraged collaboration between event organisers and local stakeholders, sparking ideas for legacy projects aligned with event themes.
A panel discussion spotlighted the Alzheimer’s Research UK conference held at the venue in early 2024, with speakers sharing actionable insights on delivering lasting community impact.
Adrian Evans, ACC Liverpool’s Director of Conference and Business Events, emphasised the importance of such initiatives: “We aim to ensure conferences provide more than exceptional delegate experiences – they leave a lasting positive footprint on our city.”
Since launching its legacy strategy in 2022, ACC Liverpool has successfully delivered impactful projects in collaboration with organisations like Diabetes UK and Alzheimer’s Research UK.
Its Legacy Toolkit, featuring case studies and resources, supports organisers in creating meaningful contributions beyond their events.
