Sarawak has officially launched LEGACY360 – Business Events for a Sustainable Future, the first forum in Southeast Asia focused on advancing business event legacies.
The initiative aims to position Sarawak as a leader in creating long-term economic, social, and environmental impacts through business events.
Unveiled during an exclusive preview, LEGACY360 underscores BESarawak’s ambition to make Sarawak the legacy capital of business events in Malaysia and Borneo by 2030.
The full forum is set for September 2025, featuring workshops, panel sessions, and the newly rebranded Borneo Inspires Legacy Awards (BILA).
A key highlight was the introduction of AI.LEGACY Intelligent Impact Management System, the world’s first platform for monitoring and measuring event legacies, developed in partnership with Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS).
“The vision is to position LEGACY360 as a globally recognised event,” said The Hon. Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, Sarawak’s Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts. “Business events will play a pivotal role in Sarawak’s sustainable development.”
And Amelia Roziman, CEO of BESarawak, stated: “LEGACY360 marks an exciting final year of our Legacy Impact Master Action Plan. It is an invitation for global planners to create impactful events in Sarawak.”
