Antwerp will welcome the 2025 edition of the Sleep and Breathing Conference, taking place from 10 to 12 April 2025.
As the largest pan-European congress dedicated to sleep and respiratory medicine, the biennial event is jointly delivered by the European Respiratory Society (ERS) and the European Sleep Research Society (ESRS), bringing together clinicians, scientists, and industry partners at the forefront of respiratory and sleep health.
Recognised for its distinctive focus on the interface between sleep and breathing disorders, the conference offers a multidimensional platform, combining keynote lectures, interactive workshops, and scientific showcases.
“We are delighted to welcome the Sleep and Breathing Conference to Antwerp,” remarked Tadeja Pivc Coudyser, CEO of the Antwerp Convention Bureau. “Our city’s commitment to advancing healthcare and our state-of-the-art facilities make Antwerp the perfect venue for this significant gathering of sleep and respiratory professionals.”
Professor Johan Verbraecken, a leading voice in respiratory and sleep research, and local organiser of the 2025 conference, said: “Antwerp is not only a city with a vibrant cultural and historical identity, but also a centre of excellence in medical research and clinical practice. With institutions like the Antwerp University Hospital and the University of Antwerp driving innovation in sleep and respiratory care, the city offers a uniquely fertile ground for meaningful scientific exchange.”
