Architects Bring Designs For The Future In Kuala Lumpur

7th October 2022

The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) has been chosen to host the International Union of Architects (UIA) International Forum 2024.

6,000 architects from around the world will visit Malaysia to talk about today’s increased challenges and focus on ways to create a city for diverse future communities and sustainable growth.

Under the theme ‘Diversecity’, the biennial conference will bring together thought leaders from fields like education, economic, public policy, industry and research to exchange ideas on architecture, design and urbanism.

Immediate past president of Malaysian Institute of Architects, the local association host, Datuk Ar. Ezumi Harzani Ismail said: “With the growing business potential and big number of architects in our region, we believe it is very timely to have the world architecture event in Kuala Lumpur, a multicultural growing Asian city and an emerging global city. Through this event, the capital city of Malaysia will be a case study of diversified communities, a maturing model for developing cities and, of future cities. The Centre, through its commitment and action towards inclusive sustainable growth, is aligned to our ‘Diversecity’ themed UIA 2024 and therefore, is the best place for this evolutionary meeting of architects of the future world.”
