CNCC II Beijing Strengthens Global Presence with ICCA Partnership

19th December 2023

China National Convention Center Phase II (CNCC II), set to open in 2025, is rapidly emerging as a global hub for business events.

The International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) recently chose CNCC II to host its China representative office, solidifying the center’s role in facilitating global networking for the industry.

Aligned with an international vision and commitment to sustainability since its construction in 2019, CNCC II adheres to LEED V3 platinum standards and the Green Building 3-Star System standard.

The center is designed to be flexible and multi-functional to hold conferences, exhibitions, and events of various scales, featuring advanced technology for a seamless experience.

Serving as the Main Media Center during the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympics, CNCC II provided services for over 390,000 people from 50 countries and regions worldwide.

In September 2023, ICCA, with strong support from the Beijing government and Beijing North Star, announced the establishment of its China representative office in CNCC II. This collaboration extends to the first ICCASkills hub project in China, symbolizing a joint commitment to upskilling and developing the workforce in the business events industry.

Anticipated to open in 2026, the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Beijing, North, and the Beijing Marriott Marquis Hotel will collectively offer 953 rooms for business and high-end tourism travelers.

The integration of CNCC II’s main building with supporting facilities (sizing up to 780,000 sqm), including luxury hotels, a shopping mall, and a commercial office building, aims to create a world-class convention precinct.
