Dubai will host the 19th World Congress of Neurosurgery from 1 to 4 December 2025, marking the event’s first-ever edition in the Middle East.
The successful bid, led by the Emirates Society of Neurological Surgeons with support from Dubai Business Events, will bring around 4,000 delegates to the city.
Organised by the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS), the congress, themed “Connecting the Neurosurgical World”, will convene global experts to share knowledge and advance neurosurgery practices.
Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, called the congress a testament to Dubai’s growth as a knowledge hub: “Hosting this event underscores our commitment to fostering innovation and economic growth through business events.”
Dr Mohamed Al-Olama, President of the Emirates Society of Neurological Surgeons, added: “This congress will attract leading neurosurgeons and further position Dubai as a prime destination for specialised events.”
The congress aligns with Dubai’s Economic Agenda (D33) and showcases the city’s ongoing efforts to attract major international events through initiatives such as the Al Safeer Congress Ambassador Programme.
