The EU CVB Network hosted a networking lunch in Brussels for 25 association representatives, continuing its programme of informal engagement with the European and international association community.
The lunch took place at Entropy, a fully plant-based restaurant led by chef Elliott Van de Velde and chemist Adeline Barras. Entropy’s profits support the non-profit Hearth Project, which focuses on reducing food waste and providing meals for people in need.
Designed to encourage candid discussion, the gathering created space for direct exchanges between association leaders and the eight convention bureaux that make up the Network (Florence, Gothenburg, Ljubljana, Lyon, Porto, Rotterdam, Salzburg and Valencia).
“What I really valued about the EU CVB Network lunch was the opportunity to meet several destinations at the same time, in a relaxed and informal setting,” said Dagmar de Graef, ESWI.
“The EU CVB lunch was a great opportunity to connect with association peers and learn about what the group of convention bureaux can help associations with,” added Nadège Mandie, Eurelectric.
On behalf of the Network, Maaike Hamann noted: “Hosting this year’s lunch in Brussels at Entropy allowed us to pair meaningful dialogue with a celebration of sustainability and innovation.”
