ICC Sydney: Open & Ready for Associations to Return

22nd June 2021

In these times of change, agility and resilience have proven paramount in remaining open throughout this unprecedented pandemic. In an uncertain landscape, ICC Sydney has successfully and continuously adapted its services to support events going ahead and in response to global and local health regulations.

In the early months of the pandemic, the ICC Sydney’s team was quick to market with the world’s best practice safety management tools through the EventSafe Operating Guide, which integrates parent group ASM Global’s Venue Shield program, and introduced a virtual events service. This quickly evolved to hybrid event solutions as restrictions eased and in the last quarter of 2020 they moved to also hosting 100% in person events again.

ICC Sydney has continued to refine its technological solutions to include an end to end tech product – ICC Sydney Connect – a customisable online platform for broadcasting event content and engaging attendees. They also launched a Media Studio – a dedicated permanent studio space offering broadcast recording services, live streaming and digital event solutions.

The road to recovery will remain bumpy and the length unknown, however the success the venue’s achieved despite the pandemic gives confidence in what lies ahead.

For example, despite COVID hotspots within Australia, ICC Sydney welcomed more than 65,000 people across a diversity of events including conferences, exhibitions, concerts and gala balls in just the last week.

As they take further steps to emerge from the pandemic, the focus has once again shifted more firmly towards sustainability and the venue’s role in reducing the environmental impact of its operations, working with its partners and clients to facilitate sustainable events.

Through its Legacy Program, ICC Sydney connects clients with a cross section of New South Wales and Sydney’s vibrant communities, delivering on the social and environmental sustainability goals of events. Clients can choose to engage with a wide network of stakeholders through ICC Sydney’s connections, activating legacy initiatives and providing appropriate post event reporting.

ICC Sydney delivers a unique combination of services, features, partners and people and our commitment to constantly improving across all areas cements its position as a global leader in industry excellence. Before, during, and after the COVID-19 pandemic, they will continue to partner with clients to deliver on the mantra to be ‘more than a venue’ through providing the utmost in extraordinary experiences.
