ICC Sydney’s Virtual Solutions Make Medical Conference a Success

6th July 2021

ICC Sydney has adapted to changes in restrictions to convert The Royal College of Pathologists Australasia (RCPA) Pathology Update 2021, to be completely virtual using ICC Sydney’s Connect platform.

The ultimate aim was to make the event complete with keynote speakers, workshops, breakout sessions and exhibition content – but 100% virtual.“The detailed planning of the conference and exhibition allowed ICC Sydney to transform the event from hybrid to 100% virtual in just 48 hours,” said CEO Geoff Donaghy.

By designing its event resourcing with ‘dual purpose’ roles, when all 180 presenters moved from on-site to virtual, ICC Sydney shifted its service delivery model from an on-site support model through the Speakers Preparation room to a virtual support model via an online concierge service.

The ICC Sydney Connect platform was used to manage event registration, program content, sponsorship and marketing, engagement tools and insights, and of course the ability to dial in to a large speaker cohort.

Dr Debra Graves, CEO of RCPA, said that ICC Sydney offered the ultimate in flexibility, quality and innovation for Pathology Update 2021 and provided the perfect technological solution to allow the event’s global insights exchange, best practice debate and professional development to continue via its online platform.
