A five-year contract was signed on April 15th between the Netherlands Psychiatric Association (NVvP) and MECC Maastricht. The Netherlands’ largest national medical association, the NVvP organises its three-day spring conference each year which is attended by over 2,700 psychiatrists and psychiatrists in training.
Frank Mimpen, MECC Maastricht Commercial Director: “MECC Maastricht hopes that the upgrade and expansion of the venue which is scheduled to be completed next month will attract more national and international conferences and events to MECC Maastricht and the city. The continuation of the cooperation between the NVvP and MECC Maastricht is a perfect fit for our strategy. The annual conference generates a huge spin-off for the city; just think of the number of overnight stays and spending that this event generates.”
