Mass Spectrometry Conference Chooses Maastricht

1st June 2021

From 27 August to 2 September 2022, MECC Maastricht will host the International Mass Spectrometry Conference (IMSC), a biennial event usually attracting about 1,500 academic and industrial researchers from all over the world.

Mass spectrometry is a molecular analysis technique that is widely used to offer innovative solutions to challenges in healthcare, the energy transition, new materials, food safety, forensic research, and the semiconductor industry.

The agreement was signed today by Prof. Dr. R.M.A. Heeren, internationally renowned distinguished professor at UM’s Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences, and director of M4i, who chairs the local organizing committee of IMSC, and by Frank Mimpen, MECC Maastricht Commercial Director. The MECC Studio served as the stage for this hybrid signing, with some of the guests attending virtually.
