Meeting Professionals International (MPI), the association for meeting and event professionals, has recently accredited Marina Bay Sands in Singapore as a Healthcare Meeting Compliance Certified Verified Venue (HMCC-VV). Criteria include compliance with global medical meeting laws and regulations, data privacy plans, reporting procedures, and experience with healthcare meetings.
The venue is the first one globally to receive the recognition which meets the standards mandated by international healthcare and life-science meeting event organisers. Since its opening in 2010, close to 200 medical and pharmaceutical related events have been hosted there, including the International Council of Nurses Congress, the Royal College of Surgeons Annual Scientific Congress and the International Union of Microbiological Science.
