The 31st Annual Computational Neuroscience Meeting (CNS) is visiting Melbourne on 16-17 July, an event organised for the first time outside Europe and the USA, at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC). The Melbourne Convention Bureau (MCB) won the bid thanks to its Club Melbourne Ambassador program and, in particular, Professor Anthony Burkitt. Founded by MCEC in 2005, the ambassador program has attracted 156 international events for Melbourne strengthening the city’s knowledge sector.
MCEC Chief Executive, Peter King said: “I am thrilled to see Club Melbourne Ambassador Tony Burkitt involved in bringing such a notable event to MCEC. The Club Melbourne program run by MCEC is an invitation-only group of Victoria’s thought-leaders, who work together to establish, secure and host international business events to promote our expertise around the world and seeing the CNS community here this weekend is exactly that.”
