The 2022 Association Board Survey Report, conducted by Associations Forum, Australia’s network of associations, has been recently released with interesting findings. The 300 participating associations from all over Australia showed a tendency to rethink their governance structures and upgrade their leadership skills.
Specifically, more than half have reviewed their constitution within the last 2 years and have allocated funds for directors’ professional development. Almost 50% of them have included female directors in their boards whereas hybrid methods of meeting have now increased compared to last year. The number of organisations that pay directors fees, other than expense reimbursements has also begun to stabilise.
