QSNCC Sets Global Benchmark in Sustainable Food Management with “Waste Not, Delight More”

19th September 2025

The Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) has been recognised globally for its pioneering food-waste reduction programme “Waste Not, Delight More.”

The initiative won the AIPC Innovation Award 2025 – Winner Delegate’s Choice and was named a finalist for the UFI Operations & Services Award 2025, affirming QSNCC’s leadership in sustainable event operations.

Introduced in 2023, the programme is rooted in circular economy principles and aspires to become the world’s first Zero Food Waste convention centre. It combines pre-ordering technology, locally sourced ingredients, and strategic partnerships that transform food waste into resources of value.

“These global sustainability awards not only elevate QSNCC’s reputation worldwide but also affirm our dedication and creativity in achieving zero food waste—while delivering sustainable, delightful F&B experiences,” said Surapol Utintu, CEO of QSNCC. “These recognitions inspire us to continue advancing toward our ultimate goal of Net Zero.”

QSNCC’s sustainability leadership extends to its event portfolio. The venue will host several landmark gatherings this year, including the Mae Fah Luang Foundation Sustainability Forum (22 September 2025), the Sustainability Expo (26 September–5 October 2025), the Thailand Smart City Expo (5–7 November 2025) and the International Conference on Biodiversity – IBD2025 (5–7 November 2025).
