BESydney is ready to move on to the next year with the certainty of major association events already locked for years to come.

The strategy of aligning business events with the region’s key sectors has been fruitful and has secured more than 259 events until 2029.

Some major conferences include: the 2023 International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC) with 6,000 delegates; the IEEE International Future Energy Electronics Conference 2023 (IEEE IFEEC), attracting 300 delegates; the 2023 IEEE International Symposium on Mixed and Augmented Reality (ISMAR) – 400 delegates; the International Council of the Aeronautical Sciences (ICAS) 2026, attracting 700 delegates; and the Australian Physiotherapy Association’s (APA) national conference ‘Physiotherapy’ in 2027, with 1,800 delegates.

BESydney CEO, Lyn Lewis-Smith said: “We are so thrilled to be finishing 2022 on a high and with confidence for what 2023 holds for BESydney. We are continuing to focus our efforts to contribute to the growth of our State’s sector strengths and that strategy is proving to be incredibly successful. Tapping into our city’s DNA will continue to be our focus next year”.
