6th October 2025

The Polish city of Szczecin, once known for its shipyards and now celebrated for its transformation, will host the GDS-Forum & Impact Day 2026 from 16–18 June 2026.

Co-organised by the Global Destination Sustainability Movement (GDS-Movement)#MEET4IMPACT, and the City of Szczecin, the event will bring together global leaders in tourism and business events to explore new pathways for regeneration and impact.

“I’m delighted that Szczecin has been chosen to host the GDS-Forum & Impact Day 2026,” said Piotr Krzystek, President of Szczecin. “We are determined to showcase our city as a modern metropolis that turns its unique location into a strong advantage.”

“Thanks to the x, the MICE industry is increasingly embracing our potential,” added Ireneusz Nowak, CEO of Żegluga Szczecińska Turystyka Wydarzenia. “We are reshaping Szczecin’s image into a modern, sustainable meeting hub.”

According to Guy Bigwood, CEO of the GDS-Movement, “Szczecin is the perfect host; its DNA of regeneration mirrors the courage and creativity we need in uncertain times.”

Impact Day, co-designed by the GDS-Movement and #MEET4IMPACT, will focus on translating ideas into measurable action. “Impact Day is about harnessing collective intelligence to accelerate the systemic change we cannot achieve individually,” said Geneviève Leclerc, Co-Founder of #MEET4IMPACT.
