UFI Global Congress 2027 to Take Place in Guadalajara, Marking a Strategic Return to the Americas

10th July 2025

UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, has announced Guadalajara, Mexico, as the host city for its 94th Global Congress, set for 3–6 November 2027 at Expo Guadalajara.

The decision, endorsed unanimously by the UFI Board during European Events Week 2025 in Thessaloniki, signals a renewed focus on the Americas.

The UFI Global Congress stands as the exhibition industry’s premier annual gathering, convening global leaders to exchange insights and shape the future of face-to-face events.

Following stops in Cologne (2024), Hong Kong (2025), and Bahrain (2026), the Congress’s return to Latin America reaffirms the region’s increasing relevance.

“Guadalajara promises to be a vibrant and welcoming stage for this essential global conversation,” noted Hugh Jones, UFI President and CEO of RX. “As we continue to champion exhibitions as catalysts for connection, commerce, and innovation, I look forward to an energising and impactful Congress.”

Guadalajara’s Convention and Visitors Bureau, a member of key global alliances such as BestCities and IAPCO, has played a leading role in elevating the city’s international standing.

“Our commitment to the global meetings industry is strong and unwavering… We are ready!” said CEO Gustavo Staufert Buclon.
